Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a process with the aim to embrace responsibility for the company's actions and encourage a positive impact through its activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere who may also be considered as stakeholders.
Socially responsible companies can act in a number of ways to benefit society, be it by giving money to the arts, funding academic scholarships, supporting community, building initiatives, and so on.
At Dubai Golf, we are committed to doing business in a way that benefits our customers, employees and shareholders and has a positive impact on our members, residents, guests and the wider community in Dubai.
Sustainable Water Bottle Initiative
Dubai Golf has launched a plastic free campaign that will say goodbye to all single-use plastic bottles across its five golf courses. Taking further strides in sustainability, from today, all members and visitors will instead receive a reusable aluminum water bottle as part of a partnership with Dell Technologies.
The eco-friendly campaign eliminates a staggering 785,000 plastic bottles used annually from Dubai Golf courses – equating to more than 1.2 million ounces less Carbon Dioxide being released into the atmosphere.
LED Light Technology
In March 2019 Emirates Golf Club continued its move towards a sustainable future with the announcement that its 18-hole championship Faldo Course was the only course in the region to install LED light technology. The club replaced its existing metal halide solution with LED lighting to improve the overall quality of light across the golf course, while enhancing energy savings by 60 percent and reducing CO2 emissions.

Clean Up Our World
Every year Dubai Golf colleagues support the Clean Up Our World initiative.
Colleagues from Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club join forces with Park Hyatt Dubai and are assigned sections of Dubai Creek to clean up in an effort to maintain and protect our local surroundings and the iconic Dubai Creek. We have managed to remove a huge amount of waste/rubbish along the shore-line between the Floating Bridge and Garhoud Bridge.
Colleagues from Emirates Golf Club join together and are assigned sections of Emirates Golf Club in order to maintain and protect our environment around the Club. We are proud to have removed a huge amount of waste and rubbish from the edges of both the Majlis and Faldo courses as well as the other areas of our Club.
