Golf game-changer as Peter Cowen Academy launches in Dubai
Dubai Golf and world-renowned golf instructor Peter Cowen are excited to announce the launch of the Peter Cowen Golf Academy. The new institution will enhance the offering at the Middle East’s most prestigious golf course. Emirates Golf Club have had an association with Peter for over a decade and the agreement is being enhanced and extended to Dubai Creek to further enhance the teaching opportunities available.
“I want to get more Emiratis and UAE citizens playing and enjoying the game of golf, and hopefully then we can get more players from this region becoming professional golfers,” saidPeter Cowen, the world’s leading golf instructor.
The Peter Cowen Golf Academy Dubai marks the first international location of the Academy, progressing from the original facility in Rotherham, UK. Golf professionals at the academies at both Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club will be teaching the ‘Peter Cowen method’ and passing on signature, world-leading Peter Cowen drills.
Peter’s stable of players includes a wealth of talent notably the 2016 Open Championship and 2007 Dubai Desert Classic champion Henrik Stenson as well as a host of stars from the world of golf including former DP World Champion Matthew Fitzpatrick and former world number one, Lee Westwood.
The partnership between Emirates Golf Club, host of the annual Omega Dubai Desert Classic and Omega Dubai Ladies Classic (6th to 9th December, 2017) tournaments and Peter Cowen will bring Peter’s tour-proven coaching philosophies and methods to the members and guests of Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.
