Dubai Golf Supports UAE National Sports Day Over 800 colleagues support the healthy initiative

Dubai Golf was proud to support the UAE National Sports Day initiative on Thursday 16th February. Despite the damp weather conditions, over 800 colleagues turned up, dressed in the colours of the UAE National flag, to take part in a range of sporting activities at both Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and Emirates Golf Club.

Activities included dragon boat racing on Dubai Creek, cricket, football, tug-of-war, the 100 metre sprint, egg and spoon race, sack race, hula hooping, volleyball, badminton and golf.

This worthwhile initiative by Dubai Sports Council encourages a day of recreational, educational and competitive activities, offering a reflection of the harmony and interaction of the many cultures living and working together in the UAE.

Dubai Golf Chief Executive Officer Christopher May commented, "Dubai Golf is proud to take part in UAE National Sports Day, an initiative that promotes recreational activities and fun amongst the many different cultures of the UAE. It is fantastic to see so many of our colleagues participating in a range of sporting events, including dragon boat racing, cricket, football, walking, tug-of-war and of course golf, at both Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and Emirates Golf Club, providing a fun, friendly and competitive environment in support of a healthier UAE."

Abdulla Ali Al Noon, Club Manager at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club also commented, "The UAE National Sports Day is a fantastic event, which encourages involvement from everyone, regardless of their sporting ability and promotes a healthy and happy workplace.
