Up the Creek with a Padel

If you are thinking of taking up a new hobby in 2018, there are some smashing new facilities at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and Emirates Golf Club, with the introduction of three new padel tennis courts.

The courts have been opened in association with Real Racquet Academy and will be offering a series of programmes and activities starting on Friday 12thJanuary. Padel is brand new to Dubai Creek with the introduction of two pristine courts, while Emirates Golf Club is getting an extra one to complement its three existing courts.

But what is padel tennis? It is a relatively new, but increasingly popular sport, involving a stringless racquet on a court that is a bit smaller than a tennis court. It brings together a combination of other racquet sports, such as tennis and squash.

Intro To Padel lessons cost just 84 dirhams for 60 minutes, but for a limited time, Real Racquet Academy is hosting complimentary sessions. On 5th and 6th January, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club is offering free sessions between 4pm and 7pm. Booking is required on the contact details below.

Pay and play single sessions are charged at 84 dirhams for 60 minutes and 126 dirhams for 90 minutes, with full court bookings charged at 336 dirhams for 60 minutes and 504 dirhams for 90 minutes. Annual membership is incredibly affordable at just 1,050 dirhams.

Players can also choose to join the Real Racquet Academy ranking system, with assessments of ability including racquet skills and match play.

It is the perfect time to try a new sport, so make padel part of your 2018.
