Spike Bar Re-launches At Emirates Golf Club

Regular visitors to Emirates Golf Club will be familiar with Spike Bar, the popular sports bar that has formed the hub of activity at the prestigious venue for many years. Fresh for the 2017/2018 season, Spike Bar is re-launching with a brand new location and an exciting new menu.

The new and improved Spike Bar is now located on the Upper Floor at Emirates Golf Club, next to the reception area of the club and will show live footage of sporting events from around the world. There are16 screensaround Spike Bar plus an extra large three metre screen outside, showing everything from golf to tennis, the English Premier League to American Football.

The new menu includes a dash-of-spice added to the repertoire of dishes, with internationally laudedChef Hari Ghotra’s special contributions to the menu.The UK-based chef is known around the world for her gastronomic delights, particularly stylish, elegant and vibrant Indian cuisine.

Chef Hari Ghotra, menu maestro at Emirates Golf Club: “It has been a lot of fun and hard work creating a selection of dishes that truly represent the best of Indian cuisine. Through my experiences working at Tamarind, one of the first Michelin-star Indian restaurants, and the recipes I’ve created on my website, we’ve brought some of the most popular dishes to the new menu. I really hope it excites and delights the taste buds.”

Special Hari Ghotra menu items will include: Bondas – South Indian style potato croquettes; Squid Pakora made with spring onions and a fennel infused butter; Paneer Pakora; Indian Scampi with Masala chips; Lamb Pitta Toasties; Chicken Korma; Kale and chickpea curry; Dhal Makhani – slow cooked black lentils from North West India; Keema Pie – succulent ground lamb, peas and mushrooms cooked in a robust masala sauce; Lamb Chop Curry; Paneer Makhani in a creamy tomato butter sauce; and Halibut with Indian spices. Prices range from AED 55 to AED 95.

The extended menu also includes pizzas, healthy salads, chicken wings, ribs, burgers, sliders, pastas, fish and chips, steak, lobster, and plenty more delicious dishes.

The public will have access to the majority of the restaurant and outdoor terrace, while club members will be able to enjoy a separate, exclusive lounge area for a truly VIP experience. 

Opening Hours will be:

Weekdays – 10am until 1am (last food order)

Weekends and Public Holidays – 9am until 1.30am

*Lunch services starts from 11am
