Growing up in Fife and Angus in Scotland, Tom has spent much of his life at the home of golf. Starting the game at the age of 13, Tom quickly went on to represent the Junior and Men’s Angus County Team. Tom went on to study Professional Golf at SRUC Academy in Cupar, achieving student of the year in his HND year. Tom then completed a BSc in Performance Golf at Abertay University which covered golfing theories in coaching, biomechanics, psychology and other topics.

In 2015 on completion of his degree, Tom joined the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa as an assistant professional based at the Duke’s Course, St Andrews to start his PGA training. Throughout his time at the Duke’s, Tom enhanced and developed the junior academy, introducing hundreds of kids to the sport. Tom has also had experience using AboutGolf simulators and Trackman. Tom decided to move to Dubai in September 2019 to be part of the team at Dubai Creek & Yacht Club.

Tom's personable approach to coaching will allow his students to build a close relationship with him and is looking forward to working closely with members and visitors to help achieve their golfing goals.
