Dubai ,September 2010: Emirates Golf Club (EGC), the UAE's premier golf and lifestyle destination has officially appointed award-winning day spa, SensAsia Urban Spa, as part of a significant investment to further enhance the facilities of its iconic clubhouse. The eagerly anticipated introduction of an on-site spa is expected in late 2010, alongside the completion of a refurbishment project to upgrade the complete interior of the clubhouse.

Designed for men and women, the new SensAsia Urban spa at Emirates Golf Club will offer an extensive menu of luxurious treatments including the 'Golfers Tonic', its signature 'Balinese' massage and a selection of exciting new additions for members and non-members alike. The spa also introduces the first, 'SensAsia Boutique', selling a new collection of signature SensAsia products in addition to leading brands such as; Eve Lom, Elemis, and Aromatherapy Associates.

"Emirates Golf Club is globally recognised for setting the standard in golf, leisure and hospitality, and this exciting partnership enables us to add an additional layer to our world-class offering. Through the addition of a stunning SensAsia spa to complement our award winning facilities, members and guests will be able to enjoy a truly relaxed and memorable experience whether on or off our championships golf courses," said Andrew Whitelaw, Club Manager, Emirates Golf Club.

"With shared values and an appreciation for quality service, dedicated attention and expertise, SensAsia was the obvious choice. We look forward to providing a truly unrivalled offering, within the magnificent and tranquil surrounds of the freshly renovated Emirates Golf Club in coming months."

Admired internationally and adored by Dubai's fashion set, SensAsia Urban Spa is an über chic day spa designed for the modern woman and man of today, with a selection of divine designer treatments to melt away the stresses of everyday life.

Speaking on the appointment Salina Handa, Founder and Managing Director for SensAsia Urban Spa said; "We are very excited about our upcoming opening at Emirates Golf Club as this will be a truly special SensAsia Urban Spa. We are honoured to have the opportunity to be part of such an iconic location in Dubai." She continued, "Whether it's a relaxing post-golfing massage or rejuvenating facial, we look forward to providing the perfect haven for members and guests of the club."

The boutique spa combines both Asian philosophy and Western science, integrating health and wellness in a modern Oriental, urban environment. From Balinese grace, Thai charm and Japanese elegance to a sanctuary passionate about pampering and rejuvenation, treatments are a sensory tour of the Orient.

The spa's modern, oriental interiors have been designed by Dubai-based Liza De Luna of Liza De Luna Interiors. The interiors follow the much-loved signature style of SensAsia, providing an oasis of calm and relaxation but with elements of surprise, for instance, a lavish oval couples room in rich orange and midnight blue will act as the centre-piece of the spa.  All rooms have been designed in bold colour schemes, based on the Feng Shui of the space, following the consultation of Feng Shui master Vicky Moane, who has been consulted on design of other SensAsia spas. The Feng Shui of the interiors has been designed to orient the space and to allow the energy to flow.

SensAsia Urban Spa at the Emirates Golf Club will be open to non-member guests, with Emirates Golf Club members to enjoy special offers on treatments.
