Golf Clubs in the United Arab Emirates have been celebrating the increasing popularity of the sport in the region having recently hosted over 50,000 rounds in a single month for the first time.
Dubai Golf and the Australian Business Council, Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and title sponsors du, staged the first round of ‘The 2012 Ambassadors Cup’, an Inter-Business Council team golf event at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club’s championship course on Thursday 26th April.
BMW and Rivoli have teamed up to sponsor the Monthly Medals across both Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club until the end of November 2012. Over a 12 month period there will be a total of 22 monthly medals across the two Dubai Golf clubs, Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.
This September marks the return of one of the most hotly anticipated local golfing events of the season as the Dubai Golf Trophy returns to The Faldo Course at Emirates Golf Club on 22nd and 23rd September 2011.
