Dubai Golf Junior Programmes Promote Sport among UAE Nationals

Dubai Golf, which operates the award winning Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and Emirates Golf Club, is spearheading the sport among UAE nationals with its Junior Development Programmes having worked with the Emirates Golf Federation since 1998.

The Junior Development Programmes have supported the UAE Junior team, who won the recent GCC Championships held in Oman. A member of the winning team, Ahmed Al Budoor was introduced to the game of golf and took lessons at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club Golf Academy.
 Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary and as part of this is bolstering its golf outreach with the aim of adding 100 UAE Nationals, both adults and children, to its coaching programmes. Through golf development The Academy at Dubai Creek was instrumental in developing the first UAE National Team in the sport.

 "We want to encourage and nurture sport in the UAE and through The Academy at Dubai Creek we aim to promote golf among the youth, which is greatly supported by the efforts of our team of experienced Golf Professionals as well as the Emirates Golf Federation," said Mustafa Al Hashimi, General Manager of Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.
 Ahmed Al Budoor was awarded with a membership at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club following the teams victory to help inspire existing and potential young golfers within the UAE.
